Nest 2017 took place from Tuesday 23rd May to Monday 29th May.
At Nest is there are no visitors, no spectators, only participants. The content of our events are determined by the participants who create it. Therefore, all are invited who wish to participate.
An independent site in Cornwall. The exact location will be shared with membership holders well in advance of the event.
NEST IS A BURNING COMMUNITY BUILT ON A FOUNDATION OF 11 CORE PRINCIPLES.
To be announced in late 2017.
Nest is where the dragon rests. A mythical, dangerous, passionate and playful creature, that once a year comes home to roost, and to lay out foundations for the rest of the year. In 2017 Nest is coming out of its shell, and learning to fly as a standalone, fully self-reliant being. Although we are building from the ground up, our community is what carries forward the momentum of previous years.
We are past the point of no return. Just as dragons learn to fly by leaving their nests, plunging into the abyss of uncertainty, and seeking out wider and wilder spaces, so do we. And in doing so, we learn how to fly, to explore, and to love the roaming heights.
There are many ways to contribute, including taking a volunteer position, creating an art installation, running a workshop, sharing your music or knowledge, coordinating a performance, running a theme camp or participating in Build and Strike.
Lead roles are an incredible way to get to know the community, learn new skills, and really make an impact. We welcome and encourage year-round input from all new and existing community members - whether you have specific skills, or just time and enthusiasm to donate. Get in touch to find out more and stay tuned for regular updates on opportunities to contribute.
Nest is not a "festival", and we do not sell "tickets". Instead, we encourage people who wish to participate in Nest gatherings to purchase an annual membership. By doing so, you are agreeing to contribute to the ongoing creation of the Nest community and events.
